Job summary

Electronic Arts in Vancouver is seeking a Development Manager to oversee the feature delivery of NHL, coordinating a hybrid team of engineers, artists, producers, and designers. The role focuses on planning, scheduling, risk mitigation, and aligning with leadership priorities to ensure on-time delivery.

You will drive collaboration with PMs, promote efficient processes, and leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and prototyping in a dynamic, creative environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Project Management or Project Lead experience with production lifecycles, processes and project planning.
• Experience in a Scrum / Agile software development environment, including using tools such as Jira and Perforce.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, Business, or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience working with expansive teams, mediation and conflict resolution.
• Familiarity with tools such Miro, Slack, Excel, Google Sheets, and other project-tracking and reporting tools is an asset.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize complex information, communicate risks clearly, and tailor messaging for different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Manage a development team which generally consists of Software Engineers, Artists, Producers, and Designers.
• Provide project management support by scheduling work, tracking dependencies, mitigating risks, anticipating bottlenecks, and balancing project priorities with technical constraints.
• Focus on the immediate team and identify team issues, and suggest solutions related to execution goals.
• Work collaboratively with other project managers to resolve cross-team issues and improve project management processes.
• Ensure each project setup and progress is in alignment with leadership expectations. Complete status reports at the required cadence.
• Establish processes to ensure all workflows are clearly defined, processes are documented, and team members are engaged.
