Veterinary Purchasing Co. Ltd. (VP) in St. Marys, Ontario, is the largest veterinary owned distributor in Canada. We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to design, build, and support secure, scalable applications across the full software lifecycle.

The role involves front‑end work with React.js and back‑end work with Node.js or C#/.NET, API design, database development, testing, deployment, and production support. This is a 12‑month temporary contract in a hybrid work model with VP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE/CE or related field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in professional software development in a team.
• 2+ years building production apps with React.js.
• Strong JS/TS, HTML5, CSS3 for responsive UI.
• Back-end experience with Node.js, C#/.NET, RESTful APIs.
• Strong SQL and data integrity skills.
• Git workflows, CI/CD, and Azure DevOps or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain responsive web apps using React.js and .NET or Node.js.
• Translate business needs into maintainable software designs and components.
• Design and consume RESTful APIs with secure, reliable integrations.
• Develop relational database schemas and data-access logic with integrity.
• Participate in full SDLC including estimation, planning, and release.
• Troubleshoot production defects and communicate risks clearly.
• Apply secure development practices and automated testing.
• Provide accurate estimates and manage priorities with documentation.
• Collaborate with technical and business colleagues independently.
