Job summary

Rocky View Schools (RVS) invites applications for a continuing, full-time Events and Community Partnerships Officer based at the Education Centre in Airdrie, Alberta. The role leads division-wide events, partnership engagement and strategic communications to enhance student learning and community connections.

Immediate start available. Reporting to the Director of Communications and Engagement, you will coordinate events, develop partnerships, tell impact stories and support policy-compliant

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum of three years' related experience in communications, marketing, event management, engagement or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of division events, ceremonies, celebrations and engagement activities
• Develop and implement partnership recognition and communication strategies that celebrate contributions and highlight the impact of partnerships on student learning
• Serve as the central coordinator for partnership recognition initiatives, ensuring a consistent and strategic approach across the organization
• Identify and promote partnership success stories through a variety of communication channels
• Research, write and edit a broad range of internal and external communications materials and content
• Contribute to the ongoing review and update of both the internal and corporate websites to ensure quality and accuracy of information
• Provide team/client counsel to understand communications objectives and make recommendations on tactics and communications strategies
• Build and maintain highly effective relationships
• Support Executive and Board members on communications approaches with support from the Director
• Participate in crisis response as required
• Liaise with external agencies, partners, vendors, media, etc.
• Engage in professional development on an ongoing basis
