Job summary

EQ Bank is seeking an Analyst, Credit Risk Scoring to support development, monitoring, and optimization of scorecards across the customer lifecycle. You will analyze data, apply statistical techniques, and generate insights to guide risk strategy and governance.

The role offers hybrid work with on-site collaboration at EQ Bank's Toronto office. Strong SQL/Python skills and a quantitative degree are required, with 0–5 years of experience welcomed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Math, Engineering, CS, Data Science, Economics)
• 0–5 years of data analytics or risk analytics experience in financial services or consulting
• New grads with strong technical and analytical capabilities are encouraged to apply
• Strong SQL and Python proficiency with ability to manipulate large datasets

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer, portfolio, bureau, and scorecard performance data to identify trends and risk signals across acquisition, account management, collections, and fraud strategies
• Support development, monitoring, recalibration, and optimization of scorecards and alternative risk frameworks through quantitative analysis
• Produce recurring score monitoring reports and dashboards including stability, segmentation performance, and risk indicators
• Monitor model performance with metrics such as GINI, KS, AUC, PSI, bad rates and approval rates; investigate shifts and data anomalies
• Develop SQL queries, datasets, automated reporting solutions, and dashboards to improve governance and monitoring
