Job summary

Mackenzie Investments is seeking an Analyst for a 1-month contract to prepare and analyze financial, statistical and portfolio data for Mackenzie and IG-managed funds. The role reports to Senior Analyst or Manager and requires independent work in a fast-paced environment.

The position focuses on fund financial statements and MRFPs with tight regulatory timelines, leveraging strong Excel skills and familiarity with derivatives. Hybrid work arrangement promotes in-office collaboration.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in CPA program preferred.
• Auditing or accounting experience in the investment fund industry is an asset.
• Familiarity with derivatives and mutual fund trusts/corporations.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge of generative AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare interim and annual financial statements and MRFP for mutual funds and pooled funds.
• Ensure data for financial statements and MRFPs is accurate and timely.
• Coordinate creation of final PDFs with desktop vendor; ensure changes to data, tables, charts are accurate.
• Meet internal and regulatory timelines.
• Manage version control for drafts of financial statements and MRFPs.
• Assist in various ad hoc projects.
