Job summary

Toronto Community Housing is seeking an Associate Development Manager in Toronto to assist with planning and organizing initiatives within the Development Division. You will support budgets, schedules, partnerships, and funding activities necessary for affordable housing projects and urban revitalizations.

Reporting to a Senior Development Manager, you will help coordinate with partners, staff, and stakeholders to deliver complex mixed-use and mixed-income developments while aligning with

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Planning or Architecture or related field.
• 3 years of experience in land use planning and/or real estate development.
• Knowledge of policies affecting land use planning and development in the Greater Toronto region.
• Knowledge of relevant policies and legislation related to rental housing.
• Knowledge of trends in the real estate industry.
• Proven experience in community development.

Responsibilities

• Assist in tracking, monitoring and analyzing Development Division project budgets.
• Assist in preparing project cost proposals and project business plans.
• Assist in the creation and monitoring of project schedules.
• Assist in contract administration of development partner agreements.
• Develop and manage proposal calls and coordinate consultant teams.
• Prepare funding documentation for affordable housing construction and ownership.
• Support partnerships with local businesses, government entities and agencies.
• Coordinate with other TCHC divisions to support revitalization initiatives.
• Identify new revitalization sites and maximize value for the corporation.
• Support relocation of residents during revitalization processes.
