Job summary

Reliance Home Comfort is hiring an HVAC Technician to service and install HVAC equipment, ensuring safety and customer satisfaction. The role emphasizes a growth mindset, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work with a diverse team across locations in Canada.

Qualifications include Grade 12, Gas Technician II, and Ontario COQ (313d). ODP and a Class G license are required, with 3–5 years of field experience. Rotating shifts and on-site work are expected.

Qualifications

• Completed a minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Gas Technician II license is required.
• Certificate of Qualification (C of Q) as an Air Conditioning Mechanic (Ontario – 313d) required.
• ODP card (Ozone Depletion Prevention) required.
• Class G Driver’s License required.
• 3–5 years of field HVAC service experience.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and standby duties.
• Physical ability to perform duties as described.

Responsibilities

• Service HVAC equipment and accessories per manufacturer specs and local codes.
• Ensure safe operation of new installations and educate customers on care and maintenance.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers and communicate effectively.
• Be willing to learn and grow as part of a progressive customer service team.
• Contribute to up-selling other products and services when appropriate.

• Responsible to professionally service HVAC equipment, accessory items, in accordance with manufacturer specifications and local codes.
• To ensure the safe operation of all new installations and correctly instruct customers on proper care, maintenance.

What do you bring?

• Completed a minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Must have a Gas Technician II license.
• Received certificate of qualification (C of Q) as an Air Conditioning Mechanic (Ontario – 313d).
• Must have valid Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) card.
• Must have at least a Class G Driver’s License.
• 3 – 5 years of field experience in service of Water Heaters & HVAC equipment, would be an asset
• Be willing and able to work rotating shifts and standby duties as required.
• Must be physically capable of performing all work required of this position, i.e. occasional lifting of 15 kg up to shoulder height, frequent bending, occasional squatting/kneeling, working inside and outside in all types of weather within environments that can be dusty and/or slippery.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both in written and verbal communications.
• Must have strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Must have outstanding customer service skills.
• Must have ability to understand/learn new technologies (i.e. Electronics/ electricity).
• Very punctual and dependable.
• Must be willing to wear Company provided uniform.
• Maintain company vehicle to neat clean and safe standard.
