Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an HVAC Technician 2 to deliver, install and service portable HVAC equipment for customers in North America. The role requires explaining safe use to customers, completing paperwork, and ensuring equipment is ready for operation.

The position involves driving a company vehicle, following safety rules, and providing occasional after-hours support. Fluency in English and French is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of HVAC experience or training.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• HVAC certificate preferred.
• Ability to perform after-hours and weekend work during peak times.
• Must be 21+ and mechanically inclined.

Responsibilities

• Communicates professionally with customers, managers and sales engineers to schedule deliveries, pick-ups and service calls.
• Delivers and installs rented HVAC equipment; trains authorized operator (and/or customer) on safe use of equipment.
• Directs customers to sign appropriate paperwork; keeps track of serial numbers.
• Troubleshoots and understands operation, specs, capabilities and controls of equipment.
• Operates company vehicle safely and follows safety policies.
• Cleans and tests returned equipment for proper operation and appearance.
• Completes paperwork for deliveries, pickups and service calls.
• Installs flexible gas hose on propane and natural gas applications.
• Checks gas connections safely and correctly.
• Maintains records and tracking of in-stock and rented equipment.
• Available on-call for emergency service on evenings and weekends.
