Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. in Calgary is seeking an HVAC Technician 2 to deliver, install and service rented HVAC equipment. You will train customers, troubleshoot units and maintain accurate records of equipment status and paperwork.

The role requires 3–5 years HVAC experience, a valid driver’s license and the ability to work evenings or weekends during peak times. Prior HVAC certificates are preferred; Class A gasfitter also preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of formal HVAC experience/training.
• Must possess basic math skills.
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record free from points.
• Must be at least 21 years or older.
• Able to work some after hours and weekend work during peak times.
• HVAC Certificate preferred; Class A gasfitter certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates professionally with customers, managers and sales engineers to schedule deliveries, pick-ups and service calls.
• Delivers and installs rented HVAC equipment; trains operator on safe use of equipment.
• Directs customers to sign paperwork; keeps track of serial numbers.
• Troubleshoots and understands operation, function, specs and controls of rental equipment.
• Operates company vehicle safely and follows safety policies.
• Cleans and tests returned equipment; ensures operation and appearance meet standards.
