Job summary

ICE Western seeks an HVAC Service Technician to travel and perform on-site testing, commissioning, and repair of HVAC systems across Canada and the US. You will train customers and team members while building lasting client relationships.

Role requires Journeyman Refrigeration Technician, Alberta tickets, valid license, and willingness to travel internationally. The position is full-time with travel-heavy schedule and no on-call obligations.

Qualifications

  • Certified Journeyman Refrigeration Technician or equivalent.
  • Alberta Gasfitter A/B ticket (asset).
  • Alberta Electrician ticket (asset).
  • Valid driver’s license with clean abstract.
  • Passport and ability to travel internationally.
  • Must pass pre-access drug/alcohol screening and background checks.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and time management skills.
  • Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Proficient with diagnostic tools and computer systems.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Test HVAC units to ensure full functionality prior to deployment.
  • Start-up and commission HVAC systems at customer sites.
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment, electrical systems, and components.
  • Detect refrigerant leaks and recharge systems as required.
  • Interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
  • Perform pressure testing on piping and tubing joints.
  • Train customers, apprentices, and site technicians on system operation.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships; maintain accurate service reports and documentation.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and support.

WORK SCHEDULE
  • Monday to Friday (44-hour average work week)
  • Occasional weekend work and extended hours during travel (up to 12 hours/day)
  • No on-call requirements
  • Frequent travel within Canada and the US
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
