Job summary

ICE Western Sales in Calgary, AB, is seeking a Refrigeration Mechanic apprentice to join our growing team on-site. You will install, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems, read wiring diagrams, and support R&D and commissioning of equipment.

We train, offer competitive wages based on experience, and provide full benefits. Ideal candidates have Red Seal or are first-year apprentices, strong mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to travel occasionally.

Qualifications

• Red Seal or 1st Year Apprentice is preferred; training provided.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving abilities.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and electrical/AC concepts.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license with clean abstract.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems and components.
• Braze piping and install refrigeration parts with precision.
• Read wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and compressor documentation.
• Perform QC checks before units move to testing.
• Support start-up and commissioning of ICE equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues early to prevent breakdowns.
• Participate in R&D and continuous improvement projects.
• Travel occasionally for testing or warranty work.
