Randstad Canada is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair PTACs, thermostats and related HVAC systems. You will work closely with the installation team, install and test components, and maintain detailed service reports for customers.

The role requires 2–5 years of HVAC experience, expert diagnostics, a valid driver’s license, and excellent communication. Occasional travel within Canada is expected; opportunities for training and growth are available.

Qualifikationen

• Provide remote customer support to troubleshoot issues by phone.
• Maintain accurate service reports and site condition records.

Duties of HVAC Service Technician:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair our product set, including
• Packaged Terminal Air Conditioning units (PTACS), and
• thermostat/control products
• Work closely with our installation team to help Install and replace
• HVAC products and components as needed
• Assist our customers over the phone to help troubleshoot and solve
• ptac and thermostat issues
• Maintain accurate service reports and documentation
• Communicate clearly and timely with our Service Coordinator
• Complete service calls efficiently while maintaining high quality
• standards and offering top notch customer care

Skills Required:

• A minimum of 2-5 years of HVAC service experience is preferred
• Expert troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• In-depth knowledge of design, installation and operation of HVAC
• systems
• Ability to install, test, and program HVAC units and air conditioning
• components
• Well versed in reading schematics, blueprints and wiring diagrams
• Experienced in using leak testing devices to recover and recharge
• systems with refrigerant
• Provide basic operation and maintenance training to our customers
• Generate professional documentation to record HVAC equipment
• and site conditions
• Capable of working independently to set priorities and meet
• deadlines, while following direction from our service manager and
• service coordinator
• Must be a team player who is able to communicate effectively with
• customers, management and co-workers
• An ODP License (Refrigeration) is required
• A valid, clean driver’s license is required
• Responsible for maintaining the company service vehicle

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• This role involves physical demands such as lifting (up to 130lbs),
• bending, climbing, and continuous standing
• Must be able to tolerate extremes in temperature and dust, as can
• be found in new construction buildings
• The service technician may at times be required to travel within
• Canada (overnight and out of town Hotel stays)
