Job summary

Enviro-Tech Mechanical is seeking an HVAC Refrigeration Technician – 3rd Year Apprentice to Journeyman to join our Calgary team. You will work on commercial refrigeration and HVAC installations and service with mentorship from journeypersons.

The role involves on-site work, overtime, and a pathway to Journeyman status through ITA and Red Seal qualifications. A company vehicle is provided after probation and training opportunities abound.

Qualifications

• ITA registration is required or exceptions may apply for out-of-province workers with equivalent qualifications.
• Red Seal Inter-Provincial exam or equivalent is required.
• Gas B Ticket is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide service to clients on HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Learn Journeyperson duties and assist in diagnosis and repairs.
• Support on-call rotation and overtime as needed.

A Day In The Life

You will be responsible for providing service to various clients throughout the Victoria area. As Apprentices your responsibilities will be to learn all aspects of a Journeyperson's role. The Journeyman will service and diagnose issues with HVAC and refrigeration equipment, working to attain first time fixes on service calls. This is an active job opening for a vacancy that currently needs to be filled.

What You Bring

• Registered with ITA. Exceptions may be made for out-of-province workers with the appropriate and equivalent qualifications
• Completed Red Seal Inter-Provincial exam or equivalent
• Refrigeration Electrical Endorsement (or attaining)
• Gas B Ticket an asset
• Ozone Depleting Substances certification
• Valid Driver's License with a relatively clean driving record
• Ability to lift upwards of 50lb
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Must be available to work overtime and participate in the on-call rotation
• Able to occasionally travel to work at other locations as needed, or travel for training purposes
