Job summary

Carmichael Engineering seeks an HVAC Project Manager to lead retrofit and construction projects in Richmond, BC. You will read drawings, estimate needs, bid opportunities, and guide on-site teams to deliver on-time and within budget.

The role requires 3–5 years of related experience, a mechanical systems background, and strong communication skills. Travel to interior BC as needed; a comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a related field.
• Mechanical systems education.
• Knowledge of Natural Gas, Propane and oil is an asset.
• Ability to read, draw and provide equipment specifications.
• Excellent verbal/written communication, strong negotiation and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel to job sites.
• Team player.

Responsibilities

• Read and draw plans and specifications for HVAC retrofit and construction projects.
• Bid on retrofit and construction projects in the HVAC industry for new and existing customers.
• Estimate, design and present thermal system solutions to prospective customers; independently or with the estimating team.
• Assume project management responsibilities over work execution, providing leadership and technical support.
• Order and manage deliveries of projects.
• Coordinate with sub-contractors.
• Attend site project meetings and coordinate project schedule.
• Track job costing and profitability.
• Work with the service team to maximize prospective opportunities.
• Provide operation and maintenance manuals on project as required.

Job Title: HVAC Project Manager

Work Location: 13562 Maycrest Way, Richmond, BC V6V 2J7

Work Schedule: 8am-5pm, 40 hours per week.

Salary Range: $90,000-$105,000

Job Description:

• Read; draw plans and specifications for HVAC retrofit and construction project.

Job Requirements:

• Ideal candidates would have 3-5 years of experience in a related field.

• Mechanical systems education

• Knowledge of Natural Gas, Propane and oil considered an asset.

• Ability to read, draw and provide equipment specification.

• Excellent verbal/written communication, strong negotiation and presentation skills.

• Highly disciplined, independent, entrepreneurial, confident, well organized self-starter.

• Ability to travel to job sites as required.

• Travel to the interior of BC twice a month.

• Minimal overnight travel required.
