Job summary

PRICE INDUSTRIES LIMITED is seeking a Product Designer to design and test HVAC equipment per client specifications, using SolidWorks and related tools. You will perform calculations, simulations, and analyses to optimize performance and manufacturability, and prepare BOMs and manufacturing docs for projects.

Collaborating with manufacturing teams, engineers, designers, contractors, and clients, you will troubleshoot HVAC system issues and provide timely service support, while staying current

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
• Proficient in SolidWorks software and other relevant design tools.
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, codes, standards, manufacturing, and testing related to HVAC industry; electrical/controls knowledge a plus.
• Experience with sheet metal manufacturing processes is an asset.
• MRP or ERP experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Designing and testing HVAC equipment and systems according to client specs and industry standards using SolidWorks and other software tools.
• Performing calculations, simulations, and analysis of HVAC systems to optimize performance, efficiency, cost, and manufacturability.
• Preparing technical reports, drawings, specifications, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation for HVAC projects.
• Collaborating with manufacturing teams, other engineers, designers, contractors, and clients to ensure successful delivery of HVAC solutions.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to HVAC systems.
• Providing service support to clients by responding to inquiries, requests, and feedback promptly.
• Staying updated on trends and developments in HVAC technology and engineering.
