Job summary

A leading company is seeking a Fitter/Plumber Pneumatic Mechanic to troubleshoot and calibrate HVAC pneumatic systems. Responsibilities include maintaining pneumatic controls, diagnosing temperature controls, and servicing air compressors. Ideal candidates will have a journeyperson license and experience in HVAC systems. This union position is an excellent opportunity for qualified individuals.

Job description

What you will do:

Fitter/Plumber Pneumatic Mechanic will calibrate and troubleshoot HVAC pneumatic systems and their associated controls & control panels.

How you will do it:

• Maintain, service and repair all manufacturers of pneumatic controls and their systems components.
• Diagnose, calibrate and repair thermostat temperature controls, humidity controls, pressure and EP air switches, including repairs for all damper controls & actuators for chilled water, hot water, steam control valves & air regulating devices.
• Observe pressures and vacuum gauges and adjust controls to ensure proper operation, leak test joints and connections for air leaks, using gauges or soap-and-water solutions.
• Provide service, installations & repairs of all pneumatic air compressors and air driers.
• Change breather filters and provide oil changes.

What we look for:

• Journeyperson license required (Fitter or Plumber).
• Experience with commercial HVAC pneumatic controls and mechanical troubleshooting is a strong asset.
• Must be a member of, or willing to join, UA Local 46.
• This is a union position.
