Job summary

Garthside Ltd. is seeking an HVAC Installer & Service Technician in Ontario to install, service and repair residential and commercial HVAC systems. This full-time role involves diagnosing issues, performing maintenance, and ensuring safe operation.

You will advise customers and work with gas heating, boilers, water heaters, and ventilation systems, while mentoring apprentices. The position requires a Gas Fitter Level 2 certificate, a valid driver’s license, and physical stamina.

Qualifications

• Gas Fitter Certificate - Level 2 is required.
• Driver’s license, own tools, and safety boots required.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Role is physically demanding (bending, crouching, kneeling).

Responsibilities

ROLE: HVAC Installer & Service Technician
TERM: Full Time
PAY RANGE: $25-$40/hour

Full job description

Primary Duties:

Installing, maintaining, troubleshoot, servicing and overhauling residential and commercial central air conditioning systems, gas heating, hydronic systems, ventilation, boiler, tankless and conventional water heaters. Coach and instruct apprentices. Provide customer service. Start up system and test for leaks using testing devices. Interpret gas codes. Handle, recover and store refrigerants. Perform maintenance such as recharging system with refrigerant, checking and testing regulators or calibrating system.

Requirements:

• Applicants must possess Gas Fitter Certificate - Level 2
• Applicants must have Driver’s License, own tools, safety boots.
• Applicant must have excellent customer service skills. Position is physically demanding, bending, couching and kneeling.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
