Job summary

G.S.P Services in Burnaby, BC is seeking an HVAC Installer to install and overhaul heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems on site. You will read blueprints, measure and lay out points, troubleshoot refrigerant and control systems, and perform maintenance.

No degree required; 7 months to under 1 year of experience. On-site work in noisy, hot or cold environments; welding and basic customer service duties may be involved.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and servicing HVAC systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and instructions.
• No degree required if you have relevant hands-on skills.

Responsibilities

Tasks

• Install and overhaul heating systems

• Interpret blueprints or other instructions to plan methods or sequences of operation
• Maintain and repair equipment in refrigerated trucks
• Measure and lay out reference points for installation
• Prepare tenders and quotations
• Read blueprints or other instructions to determine work requirements
• Troubleshoot heating systems
• Troubleshoot ventilation, air handling, refrigeration and air conditioning systems
• Measure, cut and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment
• Provide customer service
• Perform maintenance such as, recharging system with refrigerant, checking and testing regulators or calibrating system
• Repair and replace parts and components for entire refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation or heat pump systems
