Job description

Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a licensed candidate; however, if no licensed candidates are available, qualified apprentices will be considered.

Reporting to the Electrical Maintenance Supervisor, the successful candidates’ primary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

1. Safe and efficient installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of a range of industrial Natural Gas Heaters, Air Conditioners, Make-up Air Units, and associated equipment.
2. Supporting the operation in preventative, corrective, and reactive maintenance work processes and providing feedback to optimize plant reliability.
3. Adhering to and promoting all safety policies and procedures.
4. Identifying and recommending opportunities for improvement of area activities or problematic equipment.
5. Performing daily tasks using Computer Maintenance Management Systems.

Qualifications:

1. Certificate of Qualification as a Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic (313A) is required. We are seeking a licensed candidate; however, if no licensed candidates are available, qualified apprentices will be considered.
2. Preference will be given to candidates with a G.1 Gas Fitting license and Ozone Depletion Card.
3. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, locate, identify, and diagnose malfunctions.
4. Ability to work under minimal supervision.
5. Good interpersonal skills, communication skills, and the ability to collaborate well with other departments.
6. Three years of industrial trade experience is considered an asset.

Schedule:

Monday to Thursday, 10-hour shifts. Kidd Operations reserves the right to modify working schedules as necessary, in accordance with applicable notice requirements and labor regulations.
