Job summary

THE YMI GROUP in Montreal specializes in HVAC BIM coordination and design. This role focuses on REVIT-based permit/design documents, coordination, and project delivery support across management, sales, and field staff.

You will lead coordination meetings, develop BIM standards, create REVIT assemblies, and automate BIM routines to improve productivity while ensuring timely submittals and accurate shop drawings.

Qualifications

• HVAC design experience with a minimum of five years.
• Proficiency in Revit; BIM workflow knowledge is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication across levels.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare HVAC permit and design documents in REVIT.
• Prepare HVAC coordination documents REVIT/Navisworks.
• Prepare HVAC as-built documents for project completion.
• HVAC design calculations and equipment selection.
• Site visits for coordination and alignment with teams.
• Attend project coordination meetings with stakeholders.
• Lead project coordination meetings leveraging Navisworks.
• Manage and distribute coordinated digital documents to the project team.
• Link BIM to Construction Administration phase for submittals and schedules.
• Create Revit assemblies and enforce BIM standards.
• Assist in developing BIM documentation and workflow standards.
• Provide support for electronic file submissions.
• Automate BIM routines to support standards and productivity.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required College degree a preferred.
• 5 years of HVAC design experience.
• Revit a plus.
• Experience in construction or trade experience also a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written to varied levels of audiences.
• Ability to work independently, a self-starter who is both goal-oriented and customer-oriented.
