Job summary

Reliance Home Comfort is seeking an HVAC Apprentice Technician (Level 2) to join a team that cares about customers. You’ll be supported with the tools you need to succeed on residential service and installation calls.

Requirements include Grade 12 or equivalent, a Gas Technician 2 (G2) license and registration in the Apprenticeship program with OCOT eligibility. The role offers competitive wages, tuition assistance, a stable schedule, and opportunities for growth.

By joining Reliance as an HVAC Apprentice Technician (Level 2), you’ll become an important team member and will be provided with the tools you need to succeed. We have ambitious growth plans and are looking for Team Members who want to grow with us.

What will you do?

• Learn and grow as an important part of a team that cares about Reliance and its customers.
• Professionally service HVAC equipment and accessory items for residential customers.
• Conduct general inspections of all types of appliances for residential users.
• Perform other duties as required by supervisor or designate.
• Adhere to all safety rules.
• Explain the benefits of newer, high‑efficient equipment to the customer.
• Ensure the safe operation of all new installations and correctly instruct customers on proper care and maintenance.
• Maintain company vehicle to a neat, clean and safe standard.
• Promote Reliance Home Comfort products and services on every call.

• Completion of a minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Experience as an installer or technician.
• Gas Technician ‘2’ (G2) license and two years of HVAC experience.

• Effectiveness at HVAC lead generation and CPP enrollments.
• Demonstrated strong technical, customer service skills and company metrics in current and previous roles.
• A valid full G driver’s license.
• Capacity to progress through all levels of this apprenticeship in a timely manner.
• Physical capability to perform all work required of this position.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to understand and learn new technologies (e.g., electronics, electricity, pressures).
