Phasor Engineering Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineering COOP/Intern to join our team in Calgary.

This 8-16 month internship focuses on HV power systems, with hands-on design for overhead and underground transmission, substations, and power studies. As part of the team, you will support project design, prepare drawings, perform field notes, and learn software like PLS-CAD, EasyPower, SKM, ETAP, Win-IGS, CDEGS, PS-CADD, and AutoCAD while gaining exposure to telecom, line and

Qualifications

• Experience with power simulation software and drafting experience in AutoCAD is an asset.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word).
• Strong verbal communication, organization, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a team with minimal supervision.
• Physically fit for potential site visits.
• Eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Work with engineers and designers in Telecom, Substation, and Line Design Groups.
• Assist with substation and overhead lines/underground routing layout for HV/MV/LV projects.
• Assist with project development, scope, and budget.
• Attend client design review meetings and conduct field inspections.
• Gain knowledge of power system studies using engineering software.
• Prepare electrical equipment specifications and installation scope of work documents.
• Assist with drafting and CAD updates to drawings and drawing mark-ups.
• Prepare and issue drawing packages.
• Other drafting and computer related tasks as needed.
