Job summary

Stelpro, Inc. is seeking a HumanResources Technician to support plant employees and managers at our Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville facility. The role focuses on compliance with the collective agreement, policies, and practices while fostering a positive employee experience in a manufacturing setting.

You will coordinate workforce planning, postings, training, and attendance while maintaining HR records and collaborating with union representatives and other HR teams to meet operational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for plant employees and respond to questions regarding HR policies, programs, and practices
  • Coordinate workforce planning activities in accordance with the collective agreement
  • Manage permanent and temporary job postings, internal employee movements, and support external recruitment activities
  • Administer the annual vacation selection process in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement
  • Coordinate internal training activities, including job postings, candidate selection, pre-testing, and administrative follow-ups
  • Maintain training records and the skills matrix
  • Actively participate in the joint training committee and ensure all required administrative follow-ups
  • Participate in the francization committee and support initiatives that promote the use of French in the workplace
  • Monitor temporary foreign workers' work permits and coordinate renewal processes
  • Coordinate activities related to absenteeism management and support supervisors with the required follow-ups
  • Maintain employee files and ensure data integrity across HR systems
  • Produce various reports, statistics, and administrative tracking documents
  • Collaborate with managers, union representatives, and HR centers of expertise to support operational needs
  • Represent the company at recruitment activities, employee events, and employer branding initiatives

Job description

Being a HumanResources Technician with us means playing a key role at our St-Brunofacility, which employs nearly 300 unionized employees. As a true HR resourceperson, you will support employees and managers on a daily basis while ensuringcompliance with the collective agreement, company policies, and establishedpractices.

As a HumanResources Technician, you will contribute to the coordination of severalkey processes, including workforce planning, training, employee movements,temporary foreign worker administration, and various initiatives that promote apositive employee experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
