Help Build the System That Helps People Thrive

Behind every great care team is a system that makes their work possible - stable, well-structured, and intuitive. That’s where you come in.

Our client is a purpose-driven organization delivering community-based health and social services across Western Canada. With a team in the high hundreds and a mission rooted in equity, inclusion, and care, they’re upgrading their HR systems to better support the people who support others.

They’re looking for an HRIS Specialist to lead the implementation and long-term ownership of a new HR platform. This person will be the translator, builder, troubleshooter, and champion - ensuring the system doesn’t just launch, but actually works for the people who rely on it.

This is more than a technical role. It’s about making life easier for those who show up every day to serve others.

A Day in the Life

  • Translate a messy spreadsheet into a clean, functioning org structure in the system
  • Jump on a quick call to walk a manager through a workflow, with zero jargon
  • Triage a ticket with the vendor, but also flag a smarter fix to the internal team
  • Lead a short training for new supervisors who’ve never used a system like this before
  • Balance the big picture (compliance, reporting, structure) with the human details (a birthday, a resignation, a new hire who needs to feel seen)

Who You Are

  • You’ve managed or configured HRIS systems before, and you know that perfect isn’t the goal, functional is
  • You’ve supported people at all levels, from frontline to leadership
  • You’re calm under pressure, patient when explaining, and confident saying “let me look into that”
  • You’ve worked in a people-centered, possibly complex organization (think multi-site, nonprofit, healthcare, or unionized environments)
  • You’re proactive, trusted, and take ownership of your work
  • Location : Pitt Meadows area
  • Compensation : $79,000–$87,500 based on experience and hours (32–40 hours / week)
  • Pension or RRSP matching available
  • Comprehensive extended health and dental
  • One week of personal / wellness days annually
  • All statutory holidays

Why This Role Matters

This HRIS will touch every employee in the organization - from care providers to program directors to administrative staff. Getting it right means better onboarding, smoother reporting, faster hiring, and fewer headaches for people already doing important, emotionally demanding work.

If you’re someone who loves systems and service, and if you want to use your skills in a place that genuinely improves lives, this is a role worth exploring.
