This global manufacturing company located in Vaughan, is looking for a Human Resources Business Partner for a full time permanent position. The role serves as a key HR business partner to the Plant/Business Leadership Team, providing leadership and guidance across employee relations, talent acquisition, workforce planning, performance management, compensation, training and development, employee engagement, HR compliance, and organizational effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Plant and business leadership to align HR strategy with operational and business objectives.
- Lead employee relations, workplace culture, engagement, and retention initiatives.
- Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on performance, employee relations, organizational effectiveness, and people management.
- Lead workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and talent management.
- Drive performance management, succession planning, leadership development, and employee capability building.
- Partner with leadership on compensation, benefits, and workforce-related decisions.
- Support organizational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee day-to-day HR operations and ensure effective delivery of HR programs and services.
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment legislation, company policies, and HR best practices.
- Manage HR administration, employee records, benefits, attendance, leaves, and payroll-related support.
- Partner with Operations and Health & Safety to support a safe, productive, and engaged manufacturing workforce.
- Support hourly workforce requirements, shift operations, attendance, overtime, skilled trades, and workforce productivity.
- Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and processes.
- Monitor HR metrics and provide meaningful reporting and analysis to leadership.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, systems, and overall service delivery.
- Participate in and lead assigned regional HR projects and initiatives across multiple locations.
- Partner with regional and corporate HR teams to implement HR programs, systems, policies, and processes.
- Drive standardization and continuous improvement of HR practices across the region.
- Lead or support initiatives such as HRIS implementation, compensation programs, employee engagement, talent development, workforce analytics, and organizational development.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, stakeholder communication, and implementation activities.
- Act as the site HR representative on regional initiatives and ensure effective local execution.
- Share best practices and identify opportunities for cross-site collaboration and process improvement.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of HR Business partnering experience preferred.
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience supporting both hourly and salaried employee populations.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario employment legislation and HR practices.
- Demonstrated experience in employee relations, recruitment, performance management, compensation, and employee development.
- Experience with HRIS and HR reporting/analytics.
- Demonstrated project management experience, preferably involving multiple locations or cross-functional teams.
