Job summary

Sunrise Farms in Canada is seeking a dedicated HR Administrator to provide administrative support to the plant management team, monitor attendance, maintain employee files, and ensure compliance with HR policies and labor laws.

You will assist in updating job descriptions, support the OH&S coordinator, and ensure alignment with the collective agreement; schedule Monday to Friday, 8am start, with flexibility as needed.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary diploma in HR or related field preferable.
  • Minimum 2 years of related administrative experience.
  • Understanding of Employment Standards/labour law an asset.
  • Previous experience in unionized manufacturing work environment preferred.
  • Highly proficient computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); Dayforce experience an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees recruitment, interview, reference checks, orientation; set up of new plant employees into Dayforce.
  • Provide HR admin support to plant management team.
  • Monitor and maintain attendance program; prepare letters and reports.
  • Assist to ensure all job descriptions are up-to-date, accurate and compliant with applicable laws/regulations.
  • Works closely with Plant HR Manager/Supervisor, and Corporate HR; ensure consistency with CA.
  • Maintain employee files (electronic and hard copies).
  • Keep all HR related filing up to date; ensure policy consistency.
  • Support OH&S coordinator and claims management.
  • Other duties as required.

Role

The HR Administrator will provide administrative support to the plant management team, monitor attendance, maintain employee files, and ensure compliance with relevant HR policies and labor laws. Additionally, the position requires assisting in job description updates, supporting the OH&S coordinator, and ensuring consistency with the collective agreement.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am Start

Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Post-Secondary diploma in Human Resources, or business or related field preferable.
  • Minimum 2 years of related administrative experience preferred.
  • Understanding of Employment Standards/labour law an asset
  • Previous experience in unionized manufacturing work environment preferred.
  • High sense of urgency, well organized and able to prioritize effectively.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Highly proficient computer skills, e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, when required.
  • Previous experience with Ceridian/Dayforce an asset.
