The Nuna Group of Companies is seeking a Human Resources Administrator for our Edmonton, AB office. Nuna is the largest Inuit-owned heavy civil construction, earthworks, and mine construction contractor in Canada.

The successful candidate will manage all human resources data, including data entry, personnel file updates, and preparing documentation for managers and employees as needed.

Note: This is a temporary contract role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accuracy of information in JD Edwards for Union, Non-Union, and Salary employees.
  • Communicate employee changes to stakeholders.
  • Act as main administrator and contact for employee benefits and RRSP.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot employee overtime groups.
  • Provide administrative support, including:
    • Drafting and updating HR documents and correspondence;
    • Producing reports;
    • Maintaining spreadsheets;
    • Processing onboarding and terminations.
  • Answer employee questions regarding CLAC as needed.
  • Maintain HR filing system and ensure personnel files contain necessary information.
  • Perform other office duties as assigned.
Work Experience:
  • Minimum one (1) year as a Human Resources Administrator or similar administrative role.
Education:
  • High school diploma / GED required.
  • Human Resources education from a recognized post-secondary institution is an asset.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, results-driven self-starter.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards software is an asset.
  • Ability to prioritize daily tasks.
  • Self-motivated with exceptional organizational skills and high accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
