Job summary

Canadian Mental Health Association, Ontario, seeks an Engagement and Communications Specialist to support HSJCC Network engagement, communications, and policy initiatives. You will work with provincial, local and regional HSJCCs to leverage communications tools, expand knowledge exchange, and manage events.

You will collaborate with partners, lead webinars and forums, translate complex work into accessible content, and help craft promotional materials while maintaining consistent branding.

Qualifications

  • University degree in a relevant field.
  • 3–5 years of engagement experience with facilitation skills.
  • Strong communications abilities to reach diverse audiences.
  • Experience building networks and partnerships across sectors.
  • Knowledge of mental health promotion and social determinants of health is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance strategy to improve sector engagement locally, regionally and provincially.
  • Coordinate multi-sector groups and advisory committees for HSJCC Secretariat.
  • Collaborate with partners and lived-experience groups.
  • Create and execute information-sharing strategies and forums.
  • Lead knowledge exchange activities including webinars and forums.
  • Support branding and messaging for HSJCC Network and related materials.
  • Translate complex work into accessible analyses for audiences.
  • Contribute ideas for web, print and multimedia collateral.
  • Work with coordinators to develop workplans and deliverables.
