Job summary

IPEX – Edmonton Distribution Center is seeking a Health, Safety and Environment Specialist to promote a strong safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement. The role collaborates with site leadership and crews across Canada and the U.S., with travel up to 30% and exposure to industrial environments.

The position offers the opportunity to influence safety performance across multiple sites, manage incidents, and support sustainability initiatives while reporting

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• CRSP/CRST/CSP/CIH or similar certifications are assets.
• 5–7+ years of progressive Health, Safety and Environmental experience.
• Experience in distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or construction sectors.
• Experience leading audits, investigations, risk assessments, and compliance initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation.

Responsibilities

• Partner with site leadership to implement and improve HSE programs across locations.
• Deliver HSE training, safe work practices, and engagement initiatives.
• Conduct audits, inspections, risk assessments, and regulatory gap analyses.
• Lead investigations into incidents, injuries, and environmental events with corrective actions.
• Maintain HSE documentation and track performance metrics for continuous improvement.
