Job summary

Fluor Corp in Vancouver seeks an experienced HSE Director to provide strategic leadership across Western Canada. You will strengthen safety culture, drive risk management, and lead the design and implementation of best-in-class HSE programs and governance.

You will partner with executive colleagues, project teams and frontline personnel to ensure regulatory compliance, incident prevention, and continuous improvement in safety performance across diverse operations.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Professional designation such as CRSP, CSP, CHSC, CIH, P.Eng., or equivalent is considered a strong asset.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive HSE leadership experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading corporate HSE programs across multiple operations, projects, or business units.
• Experience within industrial, infrastructure, construction, energy, manufacturing, resource, or other high-risk environments.
• Proven success implementing management systems, improving safety performance, and leading organizational change initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve the corporate HSE Management System.
• Lead the organization's HSE strategy across multiple business units and operating locations.
• Promote a proactive, people-focused culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
• Support executive leadership through risk assessments, performance reporting, and strategic planning.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen organizational HSE performance.
• Oversee emergency response, crisis management, and business continuity planning initiatives.
• Environmental stewardship and sustainability program support.
• Promote responsible environmental practices across projects and operations.
