Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a passionate HSE Coordinator to support operations across Quebec and the Maritimes. You will work with multidisciplinary teams in materials engineering, geotechnics, and environmental services, helping to implement HSE programs and promote a strong safety culture.

You will collaborate with VPs and Directors, manage incident investigations, and lead awareness initiatives while leveraging digital tools to enhance performance in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • College diploma (DEC) or university degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HSE-related role.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support Vice Presidents and Directors in achieving their HSE and operational objectives.
  • Monitor HSE action plans, performance indicators, and objectives across business units.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams on HSE-related matters.
  • Assist in the implementation of HSE programs, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct laboratory inspections, audits, and site visits to promote a strong safety culture.
  • Participate in incident investigations and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Identify, assess, and control critical risks, particularly in high-energy environments.
  • Lead HSE awareness and training activities.
  • Collaborate with business units to align HSE practices across the organization.
  • Support projects for strategic clients in the energy, infrastructure, and public utilities sectors.
  • Leverage digital tools and emerging technologies to enhance HSE performance.

Overview

We are seeking a passionate HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) Coordinator to support our operations across Quebec and the Maritimes. Reporting to the Regional HSE Manager, you will play a key role in supporting multidisciplinary teams working in the fields of materials engineering, geotechnics, and environmental services.
