Job summary

At AtkinsRéalis in Canada is seeking a senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead and deliver geotechnical study projects of varying scale. You will supervise junior and intermediate engineers, manage project administration, and prepare proposals for professional services.

The role requires a Bachelor's in civil/geotechnical engineering (Master's/PhD asset), 15+ years' experience, ASP Construction card, a valid driver's license, and fluency in French plus proficient English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, geological, mining engineering, or another relevant field.
• Master's or Ph.D. in geotechnics is an asset.
• 15+ years of relevant experience in the field.
• Possess an ASP Construction card.
• Hold a valid driver's license.
• Excellent spoken and written French.
• Proficiency in English.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good knowledge of MS Office Suite and software commonly used in geotechnics.

Responsibilities

• Carry out geotechnical study projects of various scales.
• Supervise and train junior and intermediate engineers.
• Participate in the administrative management of projects and personnel.
• Prepare proposals for professional services.
• Review geotechnical engineering calculations (bearing capacity, settlements, slope stability, pavement, soil liquefaction, numerical modeling, etc.).
• Review technical reports and draft them when necessary.
• Collaborate with other departments to maintain synergy.

*This position requires knowledge of a language other than French, namely English, as it involves collaboration with members of the Canadian or global leadership team located outside Québec.
