Job description

Tacten is seeking a professional and energetic Heath and Safety Coordinator to support our business during this upcoming turnaround season! Are you passionate about safety? Project Details
  • Contract duration April 27, 2026 - June 5, 2026
  • Schedule Monday-Friday, 10-hour day shifts
  • Applicants must be local to Fort McMurray, AB
  • Responsible for the coordination, and administration of safety on project site.
  • Responsible for carrying out inspections and audits of the workplace.
  • Proactively promote our safety culture through toolbox meetings, and safety awareness.
  • Knowledge of applicable safety rules and regulations; and be an effective negotiator, that uses logic and reason to persuade and influence others to find the solutions that everyone will accept.
  • NCSO or CRST Professional Certification required.
  • OHS Certification would be an asset but not required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a field safety-related discipline.
  • Heavy industrial operations experience is an asset.
  • A proven track record in participation of safety management processes e.g. safety committees and working groups and heavy industrial auditing and inspection experience.
  • You are an excellent planner, organizer, with refined interpersonal and communication skills and have demonstrated computer competency with Microsoft Office software.
