Job summary

Golderado Contracting Corporation is seeking an HSE Coordinator to join our Alberta-based team. You will participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings, review FLHA documents, and deliver safety orientations on demand.

You will organize training, collect daily safety records, and support weekly inspections while investigating incidents and tracking safety metrics. Ideal candidates hold an NCSO certificate, CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, and have at least two years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Valid CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 are required.
• NCSO certificate is required.
• Driver's license and clean abstract within 30 days prior to start date.
• Minimum 2 years as Safety Coordinator or equivalent.
• Root cause investigation training is preferred.
• Standard First Aid, Ground Disturbance 2, Confined Space Entry and Fall Protection training required.
• Excellent administrative, organizational, and time management skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; strong written and verbal communication.
• English language proficiency is required; reliable transportation is needed.

Responsibilities

• Participate in morning toolbox talks and weekly safety meetings.
• Review workers' FLHA's and deliver project site safety orientation as needed.
• Organize safety training and gather daily safety documents for filing.
• Coordinate weekly inspections and support field safety documentation.
• Handle incident follow-up and investigations and track safety statistics.

HSE Coordinator

Golderado Contracting Corporation (\"Golderado\") supplies skilled labour for construction projects across Canada, primarily in Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan, supporting clients such as PME Inc., Silverado Site Services, and EllisDon Industrial.

Key Information:

• Hours: The typical hours are 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM but is dependent on project needs.
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends when required.
• Salary is dependent on experience
• Health benefits, RRSP, Pension Plan and vacation offered.

Job Description:

• Participate in morning toolbox talks.
• Participate in weekly safety meetings.
• Review workers FLHA's.
• Deliver project site safety orientation on an as-needed basis.
• Organize safety training as required.
• Gather all daily safety documents and scan into job folders.
• Organize and participate in weekly inspections.
• Support all field safety documentation.
• Incident follow up and investigation.
• Tracking project site safety stats.

Experience and Certification Requirements:

• Valid CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 is required.
• NCSO certificate.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• A clean driver's abstract is required and must be obtained no more than 30 days prior to employment start date.
• Minimum 2 years working as a Safety Coordinator or equivalent experience.
• Investigation training with root cause analysis experience.
• Standard First Aid, Ground Disturbance 2, Confined Space Entry, and Fall Protection training are required..
• Extremely proficient administrative skills and a highly professional demeanor required.
• Attention to detail, organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Proficient and competent in the operation of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• A reliable means of transportation is required.
• Proficient English language skills required.

Education:

NCSO Certificate.
