Job summary

DXP | HSE Integrated is Canada’s leading health and safety service provider, seeking a full-time Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) for NWT operations. The ACP will provide ALS care on site, triage patients, guide medical decisions, and coordinate transport to a healthcare facility when needed.

Start date Oct 13, 2026, rotation 2 weeks on/off, flights from Edmonton to Norman Wells. Applicants must hold current ACP registration, H2S Alive, CSTS, and a Class 4 driver's license, with compliance to NOCP

Qualifications

• Current (unrestricted) ACP registration with the applicable provincial licensing body.
• H2S Alive.
• Valid Class 4 driver’s license (or higher) in the province of issue.

Responsibilities

• Provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) on-site and arrange timely transport to a medical facility.
• Read, understand, and comply with NOCP and medical control guidelines.
• Work within the ACP scope of practice as defined by NOCP and guidelines.
• Report to the Station Manager for the district you are assigned to.
• Ensure safety, PPE use, and compliance with health and safety legislation.

We are seeking a full time ACP to join our team. The Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) will promptly provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) care when summoned, accurately triage patients, offer appropriate medical guidance, and coordinate timely transport to a healthcare facility when necessary.

Start Date: October 13, 2026
Rotation: 2 week on/off
Transportation: Flights are from Edmonton to Norman Wells

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Act in a professional manner that ensures the patient’s dignity, safety, privacy and confidentiality, and decision-making are maintained
• Provide immediate and professional medical care to injured workers on-site, and to arrange timely transport to the nearest medical care facility
• Read, understand, and comply with DXP | HSE Integrated safety and medical services policies, Workplace Scope of Practice Guidelines, Medical Control Guidelines, as well as all applicable government laws and regulations.
• Work within the ACP scope of practice determined by the National Occupational Competency Profile (NOCP), utilizing the DXP | HSE medical control guidelines
• Report to and take direction from the Station Manager for the district in which he/she is working
• Be familiar with and work in accordance with health and safety legislation and company policies and procedures
• Perform Respiratory Fit Testing, Audio Testing, Advanced First Aid Instruction
• Take reasonable care to use safety and personal protective equipment as required by health and safety legislation and company policies and procedures
• Report to HSE Integrated supervision and management immediately any incident or condition believed to be hazardous to worker’s health or safety
• Refuse the work if danger is imminent or not controlled
• Previous industrial medical experience is an asset

You will need to have the following certifications to be considered:

• Current (unrestricted) ACP registration with the applicable provincial licensing body
• H2S Alive
• Valid, unrestricted license with full driving privileges in the province of issue for the specified class of vehicle to be operated on behalf of the company or a higher class of license than that of the vehicle to be operated. (Class 4 driver’s license)
• Construction Safety Training System (CSTS)
