Westerkirk Capital Inc. (‘WCI’), a private investment company based in Victoria, BC, is seeking an HRIS Coordinator, working out of Calgary, Alberta. The organization manages assets across various portfolios including fixed income, public equity, private equity, hedge funds, infrastructure, and real estate.

Role Overview

We are seeking an HRIS Coordinator to support the governance and integrity of the Dayforce system. The role involves providing Tier 1 support, primarily focusing on payroll-related issues, with experience in Dayforce preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Serve as the first support contact for HRIS-related issues, ensuring data integrity and documentation.
  2. Troubleshoot user issues, guide system use, and manage support tickets, escalating complex issues as needed.
  3. Provide excellent customer service and technical support to end users.
  4. Research, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues using critical thinking skills.
  5. Assist with testing new system features and support project activities.
  6. Document common issues, support procedures, and user guides.
  7. Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and HRIS team members for support delivery.
Qualifications and Skills
  1. 1-3 years of HRIS support experience or 5+ years in Payroll with configuration exposure.
  2. Experience with Dayforce is strongly preferred.
  3. Degree or diploma in Human Resources/Payroll or equivalent experience.
  4. Experience in a multi-company enterprise with HR shared services is a plus.
  5. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Excellent communication skills and eagerness to learn.
