FGF Brands in Vaughan, Ontario is seeking an HR Site Coordinator (Talent and Development) to support a fast-paced manufacturing team on site. You’ll help implement HR policies, support recruitment, health and safety, time and attendance, and employee relations.

You’ll partner with site leaders and the L&D team to drive development initiatives, oversee payroll approvals, and coordinate learning activities while ensuring compliance with Ontario laws.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment or warehouse.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario employment legislation (ESA, OHSA).
• Solid understanding of HR policies, procedures and employee relations.
• Proficient with MS Office and HRIS.
• Experience with WSIB.
• Valid driver’s license to travel to GTA facilities.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with Manufacturing Leaders and Team Members by having an active presence on the plant floor to drive T&D programs and policies, enhancing relationships, engagement, and retention.
• Assist Site Leaders, Operations Leaders, Shift Leaders, and Team Leaders with Team Member relations.
• Manage the engagement committee and proposals for engagement activities.
• Review resumes and coordinate internal interviews to ensure candidates have the required skills and attitude for key roles.
• Ensure adherence to the Internal Job Posting Process.
• Coordinate payroll approvals and Time & Attendance for hourly Team Members.
• Coordinate Learning and Development initiatives with the L&D team.
• Conduct performance review discussions with Team Members and Production Leaders.
• Assist in Progressive Disciplinary actions and Performance Evaluations with T&D support.

Summary

As the HR Site Coordinator (Talent and Development (T&D) On-Site Coordinator), your main responsibility is to assist our production team in an extremely fast-paced manufacturing environment. You provide support and coordination in the consistent and effective application of policies, procedures, and practices of Human Resources for all Team Members.

Other responsibilities include Team Member Relations, Recruitment, Health and Safety, Time and Attendance, and other administrative tasks as required. Previous experience in a human resources environment within a manufacturing plant or warehouse is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities

• Works closely with Manufacturing Leaders and Team Members by having an active presence (70%) on the plant floor to drive T&D programs, processes, and policies to continuously enhance working relationships, build engagement, and increase retention.
• Responsible for assisting Site Leaders, Operations Leaders, Shift Leaders, and Team Leaders with Team Member relations.
• Responsible for managing the engagement committee and detailed proposals for the engagement activities.
• Review resumes and coordinate internal interviews with Operation Leaders- to ensure “Key Role Candidates” (Mixers, Depositors, Oven Operators, Packaging Operators, Forklift Operators, and Sanitation) have the required skill set, availability, and attitude to work within the appropriate plant.
• Ensures adherence to the Internal Job Posting Process.
• Manage the daily payroll approval process for production Team Members and manage the Time and Attendance system for hourly Team Members.
• Responsible for coordinating Learning and Development initiatives with support from the L&D team.
• Conduct effective performance review discussions with Team Members and Production Leaders.
• With the support of T&D Business Partners, assists, and participates in Progressive Disciplinary situations and Performance Evaluations related to Team Members as necessary.

Required Experience

• Minimum 1-2 years of related experience in Human Resources in a Manufacturing Environment or Warehouse.
• Strong understanding of employment legislation specific to Ontario. (i.e.) Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, etc.
• Good understanding/working knowledge of HR policies/procedures and employee relations.
• Proven competency in operating key office software and productivity tools such as MS Office suite, working knowledge of an HRIS.
• Experience/knowledge of WSIB.
• Valid driver’s license required to travel to various GTA facilities as required.
