Job summary

The Public Service Commission (PSC) of Nova Scotia seeks a Manager, HR Information Management to lead governance, security, and quality of HR information assets. You will oversee HR information systems, data governance, records management, and related services, guiding improvements while ensuring privacy compliance.

Reporting to the Director, Workforce Intelligence and Systems, you will manage a professional team, engage with senior leaders, and align priorities with government strategies.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in public administration, policy, business, HR, information management or IT.
• Minimum of three years of supervisory or management experience.
• Experience leading professional staff, managing resources, and delivering complex initiatives.
• Experience with enterprise HR systems (SAP, SuccessFactors, PeopleSoft) or comparable platforms.
• Knowledge of FOIP, privacy, information protection, and records management legislation.

• Strategic Leadership and Service Direction: Sets priorities and provides strategic direction for HR information systems and related services.
• Information Governance and Data Quality: Leads frameworks and processes for accurate, reliable workforce information.
• HR Information Systems Management: Oversees system enhancements and service improvements for HR technologies.
• Privacy, Security and Risk Management: Leads security frameworks and controls for HR information and data.
• Records and Information Management: Oversees records management and compliant data handling.
• Technology, Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Drives ongoing improvements and explores emerging tech responsibly.
• Partnerships, Advice and Organizational Enablement: Builds relationships and provides advice on complex information management matters.
