Job summary

Zymeworks in Vancouver, BC, is seeking a Human Resources professional to support full-cycle recruitment, onboarding and HR operations in a hybrid, 3-days-onsite-per-week role.

The candidate will manage recruitment for assigned roles and the company’s co-op program, coordinate onboarding, maintain HRIS data, and support HR programs. 2–4 years HR experience and a Bachelor’s degree are required; CPHR is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of progressive HR experience including operations, recruitment or HR programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Admin or related field.
• CPHR progress/designation an asset.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accurate data.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently within established processes.
• Data-driven with Excel and MS Office proficiency.
• Experience with HRIS or ATS; quick to learn new systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Continuous improvement mindset for HR processes.

Responsibilities

• Support full-cycle recruitment including coordinating interviews, postings, candidate communications, background checks and other recruitment administration.
• Independently manage recruitment for assigned roles and the company’s co-op program, including job postings, interviews, onboarding and funding applications.
• Provide high-quality candidate and hiring manager experiences through timely, professional communication throughout the recruitment process.
• Coordinate new hire onboarding and employee lifecycle activities, including preparing employment documentation and updating systems.
• Maintain accurate employee information in the HRIS and support data audits and reporting.
• Provide day-to-day HR operational and administrative support, including employment agreements, verifications, and HR requests.
• Coordinate contractor intake, changes and offboarding processes.
• Maintain recurring HR reports, org charts and workforce information; support headcount reconciliation.
• Support HR programs: learning, recognition, performance management and other programs.
• Conduct research and prepare materials to support HRBP-led programs.
• Support HR projects through coordination, data collection, mapping, testing and implementation.
• Assist with HR technology and process improvements.
• Provide support for broader business initiatives including organizational changes, acquisitions, etc.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, employee experience and efficiency.
• Provide back-up to HR team as needed.
