Job summary

Emterra Group is seeking an HR Coordinator to support employees and operations across multiple waste and recycling sites in Ontario. This hands‑on role involves employee relations, recruitment, performance management, health & safety, workforce engagement, and the adoption of AI‑enabled HR tools to improve efficiency and experience.

The ideal candidate holds 1–2 years of HR experience, a post‑secondary HR degree or diploma, and is comfortable traveling to sites.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of HR experience.
• Post-secondary HR degree/diploma required.
• Experience in a unionized environment is required.
• Knowledge of Ontario employment legislation is essential.
• Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Act as HR partner across multiple sites in Ontario.
• Support employee relations, recruitment, performance management, health & safety, and engagement initiatives.
• Assist in training, onboarding, and leadership development activities.
• Maintain confidential HR records and ensure policy compliance.
• Support AI-enabled HR tools and data reporting implementations.
• Travel regularly to operational sites across Ontario.
