Job summary

Kensington is seeking an HR Coordinator to support day-to-day HR operations across Canada and the United States from our Toronto hub. The role focuses on onboarding, benefits administration, records management, and policy compliance in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment.

You will partner with leaders to deliver employee programs, drive engagement, and maintain accurate HR documentation, while contributing to culture initiatives and continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or College diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 1–2 years of progressive Human Resources experience, ideally within a high-growth, entrepreneurial, or global organization.
  • Working knowledge of Canadian employment legislation with exposure to U.S. employment practices and benefits administration considered a strong asset.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, including reporting, data analysis, and dashboard creation.
  • Experience supporting HRIS platforms or similar HR technologies, ADP experience is an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with employees and leaders across multiple functions.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret HR data and identify meaningful insights.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with confidence interacting across all levels of the organization.
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and integrity when handling confidential information.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to continuous learning and improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department across Canada and the United States.
  • Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding activities, ensuring a seamless and positive employee experience.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and benefits administration for Canadian and U.S. employees.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, and employment-related matters.
  • Prepare employment contracts, job classification updates, employee changes, and termination documentation in accordance with company policies and applicable employment legislation.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, culture surveys, and other HR projects that strengthen organizational effectiveness.
  • Administer employee recognition programs and support initiatives that enhance employee engagement and company culture.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment legislation, company policies, and HR processes through accurate administration and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR programs, processes, and employee experiences through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor trends and proactively identify opportunities to strengthen employee engagement, retention, morale, and overall organizational effectiveness.
  • Prepare HR reports, dashboards, workforce metrics, and data analysis to support leadership decision-making and workforce planning.
  • Develop job aids, process documentation, and training materials to support employees using ADP and other HR systems.
  • Support internal and external HR audits while ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and accuracy of employee data.
  • Contribute to additional HR projects and initiatives as assigned.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Human Resources team, the Human Resources Coordinator plays an integral role in supporting the day-to-day operations of HR while helping deliver an exceptional employee experience across our Canadian and U.S. workforce.This role is ideal for someone early in their HR career who enjoys balancing administration with employee support, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. You'll partner closely with leaders and employees across the organization, helping ensure our people programs are delivered accurately, efficiently, and with a people-first mindset.
