Job summary

Imperial invites recent graduates to join the HR Rotational Development Program in Canada. You will rotate through Business HR, Labor Relations, Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Programs Design and Talent Development to gain hands-on experience.

We seek MBA or Master’s in HR graduates with strong communication, leadership potential and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Edmonton or Sarnia work locations and full-time placement are offered.

What Role You Will Play In Our Team

At Imperial, we view our Human Resource (HR) professionals as critical. Our energized national HR team strives to create a competitive advantage through people by aligning the HR workforce to meet current needs, and developing individuals so they have the capabilities required to meet future needs in a complex and changing business environment. You will be part of the HR Rotational Development Program.

What You Will Do

You will gain hands‑on experience and exposure rotating through various HR roles which may include:

  • Business HR – Drive talent solutions based on data insights and execute processes to improve business performance
  • Labor Relations – Execute labor strategies and manage day‑to‑day labor relations activities
  • Employee Relations – Investigate allegations of misconduct, potential policy violations, etc.
  • Talent Acquisition – Develop branding and sourcing strategies to attract the highest‑quality talent to raise the collective capability of the organization
  • Programs Design – Design programs, plans and guidelines to meet business needs in line with corporate intent
  • Talent Development – Leverage analytics to ensure optimal resource development and deployment for near‑term and longer term organizational and staffing needs
About You

We seek students with who are passionate about what they do and eager to join us in providing solutions to society’s energy needs. Students with strong academic performance in core programs, leadership, and communication skills who have recently graduated, or have an upcoming graduation date, seeking full‑time placement with a MBA or Masters in Human Resources are encouraged to apply.

Skills And Qualifications
  • Upcoming or recent graduate with a Bachelor's, MBA, or Master’s degree in Human Resources or related disciplines

  • The expected annual salary range for this position is $78,900 – $92,500. Individual pay will be determined based on various factors, which may include skills, abilities, qualifications, work experience and education
