HR Business Partner (12 month MAT LEAVE)

Join us to apply for the HR Business Partner (12 month MAT LEAVE) role at ClearBlue Markets.

We are seeking a highly organized and people-focused HR Business Partner to join our team on a 12-month maternity leave contract. This role will support day-to-day HR operations, ensure a seamless employee experience, and contribute to key People & Culture initiatives.

As the HR Business Partner, you’ll serve as a key point of contact for employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies, supporting talent processes, and maintaining HR operations during this coverage period.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR support for onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, and general inquiries
  • Coordinate cyclical people programs, including performance reviews, engagement surveys, and compensation planning
  • Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system, ensuring compliance with local employment laws
  • Support benefits administration and liaise with vendors (Canada and/or US)
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition for hiring processes, interview scheduling, and onboarding
  • Prepare HR communications and employee documentation (contracts, letters, policy updates)
  • Track and report HR metrics such as headcount, turnover, and engagement
  • Contribute to culture-building, recognition programs, and DEIB initiatives
  • Assist the People team with additional tasks and projects during the leave coverage

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in HR Generalist or People Operations roles
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment standards (Canada required; US experience is a plus)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with professionalism
  • Organized, detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple priorities
  • Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., BambooHR, Gusto, or similar)
  • Collaborative, proactive, with a people-first mindset
  • Passion for sustainability, innovation, and working in a fast-evolving environment
