The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in HR best practices, employee relations, and organizational development, along with the ability to partner closely with senior and executive leaders to provide strategic guidance, propose innovative solutions, and drive initiatives that reflect both our business goals and company culture. Ultimately, this role serves as a trusted advisor on all aspects of people and organizational effectiveness—helping to shape a high-performing, engaged, and inclusive technical organization across the U.S. and Canada.

What You'll Do:
  • Strategic Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to senior and executive technical leaders, aligning people strategies with departmental goals, workforce planning, and organizational design.
  • Employee Relations & Performance: Manage complex employee relations issues, provide coaching to managers on performance management, and foster a culture of continuous feedback and development.
  • Cross-Border Operations: Serve as the subject matter expert on U.S. and Canadian labor legislation, payroll, and benefits, ensuring full legal compliance and seamless HR operations across both regions.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Leverage HR metrics and analytics (retention, engagement, time-to-hire, etc.) to diagnose organizational health, identify trends, and propose proactive solutions to executive leadership.
What You Bring:
  • 2+ years proven work experience as an HR business partner
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Analytical and goal-oriented
  • Demonstrable experience with HR metrics
  • Thorough knowledge of labor legislation
  • Full understanding of all HR functions and best practices
  • BS degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of U.S. and Canadian benefits and payroll
Salary Range:

$91,000.00 - $96,000.00 CAD per year, plus an additional 5% Company annual bonus contingent on Company performance and eligibility to receive a Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) grant.

Note: This is the pay range the Company believes is equitable for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.

Benefits and Perks:
  • Strong extended health benefits: Health & Prescription coverage, vision and dental care, virtual health care, out-of-country medical coverage

  • Health and Wellness: Up to 12 fully covered therapy/coaching sessions per year, with additional dependent coverage. Monthly gym reimbursement policy.
  • A Stake in Our Growth: Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) as part of total compensation, 3-year vesting schedule, pending Board approval.
  • Investing in Your Growth: Free Coursera subscription and PXA courses.
  • Parental Support: Generous parental leave policy, 26 weeks fully paid for primary caregiver, 13 weeks for secondary caregiver.
