Job summary

Silver Birch Care Holdings is seeking an HR Advisor to be the trusted first point of contact for people advice across the Group. You will support employee relations, policies and processes, and handle disciplinary, grievance, and performance matters with accuracy and discretion.

This role also involves coaching managers, promoting self-service of HR systems and contributing to policy development and organisational change.

Qualifications

• Solid HR generalist experience with employee relations exposure.
• Confident advising and coaching managers with excellent communication skills.
• Great attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Proactive approach with drive for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for HR advice - employee relations, policies and process.
• Guide managers through complex ER cases: disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance, including hearing packs, note-taking and outcome letters.
• Support performance and capability issues, including performance improvement plans.
• Champion manager self-service of HR systems, policies and toolkits.
• Support the annual appraisal cycle - coaching, communications and compliance reporting.
• Manage monthly sickness reporting alongside the Midlands/Southeast HR Advisor.
• Own HR system support, reporting and data accuracy.
• Oversee monthly compliance reporting - registrations, indemnity, DBS and right to work.
• Support family-friendly processes (maternity, paternity, adoption, shared parental leave).
• Contribute to HR projects, policy development and organisational change.

What you'll be doing

• First point of contact for HR advice - employee relations, policies and process
• Guide managers through complex ER cases: disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance, including hearing packs, note-taking and outcome letters
