Job summary

ParaMed Home Health Care seeks an HR Administrator (Onboarding and Engagement Partner) to deliver local HR expertise across a district. You will own onboarding, retention, and off-boarding processes, support payroll and benefits, and ensure compliance with union agreements and ESA standards.

The role requires at least two years in HR, experience with onboarding, payroll, and employee relations, and preferably health care familiarity.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years’ experience in a human resource role.
  • Competent working knowledge of HR including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, training, and applicable legislation (ESA, Human Rights, WSIB).
  • Experience in health care preferred.
  • Familiar with unions and collective agreements.

Responsibilities

  • Process new hire paperwork including background checks and vulnerable sector checks.
  • Coordinate and conduct onboarding for new hires on their first day.
  • Administer payroll and benefits paperwork for new and existing employees.
  • Adhere to HR policies per union agreements, policies and provincial/federal laws (ESA).
  • Serve as first point of contact for employee inquiries.
  • Research and analyze employee relations concerns under management guidance.
  • Provide exit interviews and off-boarding.
  • Support management with training and in-services for client groups on HR topics.

The Human Resources Administrator (Onboarding and Engagement Partner) provides local HR expertise to a District. This includes full cycle employee onboarding, retention and off-boarding. This individual also supports management with various HR functions as required.

What You’ll Do
  • Process new hire paperwork including capturing results for criminal background checks and vulnerable sector results
  • Coordinate and conduct general onboarding for new hires on their first day of employment
  • Administer payroll and benefit paperwork for new and existing employees
  • Abide by Human Resources policies according to union collective agreements, company policies and provincial and federal legislation including Employment Standards Act
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for all employee related inquiries
  • Research, identify and analyze specific employee relations concerns under direction of management
  • Provide exit interviews and ensure employee is off-boarded
  • Support management in the presentation of in-services and general training to client group about general and specific human resources issues, policies, procedures, and documentation
What You Bring
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a human resource role
  • Competent working knowledge of Human Resources including: Recruitment and Selections, employee relations, Performance Management, Compensation and Benefits, Training and Development and applicable legislation (ESA, Human Rights, WSIB)
  • Experience in health care preferred
  • Familiar with unions and collective agreements.
