Job summary

Sundial is seeking an HR Administrator to support data entry and document management in our Edmonton corporate office. You will ensure accuracy of employee records in Workday and assist with process improvements across HR functions.

The role requires attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to deliver timely HR communications. Experience with MS Office and a collaborative, growth-minded attitude are essential.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or certificate in Human Resources or related field required.
  • 2+ years HR data entry experience; Workday knowledge is an asset.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Process employee paperwork: new hires, changes, terminations with accuracy and compliance.
  • Enter HR data into HRIS and maintain secure personnel records.
  • Draft HR communications: letters, policies, procedures, and reports as needed.
  • Support HR projects: audits, reports, and process improvements.
  • Respond to HR inquiries via email and distribute reports to the business.

About the Role

Reporting into the Payroll Manager, the HR Administrator would be responsible for HR data entry and document management, ensuring accuracy in employee records within Workday. Familiarity and exposure to process improvements would be considered an asset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Processing employee paperwork – Reviewing new hire packages, employee changes, and termination documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintaining HR data – Accurately entering employee information into our HRIS system and keeping personnel records organized and secure.
  • Drafting HR communications – Creating letters, memos, policies, procedures, and reports as needed.
  • Supporting HR projects – Assisting with audits, reports, and process improvements.
  • Managing inquiries – Responding to HR-related questions via email and ensuring timely follow-ups. Distribute various reports to the business.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or Certificate in Human Resources.
  • 2+ years of HR data entry experience (Workday knowledge would be an asset)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • The ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
