Pacifica Housing is seeking a Housing Support Worker to provide essential support services to tenants in our Supportive Housing programs. The role involves delivering person-centered services, advocating for tenants, and managing responsibilities in a dynamic environment. Reports to: Manager of Supportive Housing
Compensation: $26.51-$28.80/hour + $2/hr night premium where applicable
Union: BCGEU

Available at any of our Supportive Housing sites. Candidates open to night shifts and working at multiple sites will be given preference.

Housing Support Workers are part of a team providing ongoing support services to tenants in Pacifica's Supportive Housing programs. Responsibilities include:
Providing individualized support, assisting with case management, monitoring mental health and substance use, recognizing emergencies, encouraging tenant participation, providing life skills training, navigating services, supporting financial management, and liaising with community resources. Also includes property management tasks like coordinating maintenance and performing administrative duties such as maintaining reports and assisting with policies and community engagement.
Note: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Education: Training in a related human/social service field is an asset; conflict resolution/crisis prevention training and experience are assets.
Experience: Recent experience in non-profit housing or social services, especially with populations impacted by substance use, mental health challenges, homelessness, or other barriers.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of psychosocial rehabilitation, ability to manage responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, knowledge of harm reduction and Housing First, proficiency in MS Office.
Additional Criteria: First Aid, Food Safe Certification, Naloxone training; successful criminal record check required.
