Job summary

Kinross Gold Corporation in Red Lake, Ontario, is seeking a Specialist, Sustainable Capital Projects (Housing) to coordinate the Great Bear housing strategy and construction program. You will act as the owner’s representative with an external project management firm, collaborating with architects, developers, contractors, and local authorities.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in construction management, engineering, architecture, urban planning, project management, or related discipline.
• 7–10 years of progressive experience coordinating construction, infrastructure, housing, municipal development, or capital projects.
• Experience managing external project management firms, consultants, contractors, developers, or multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate delivery of the Great Bear housing strategy, including new residential builds, transitional housing, and community accommodations.
• Act as owner’s representative for external PM firm with disciplined reporting and escalation.
• Support development of project scopes, cost estimates, schedules, procurement strategies, risk registers, and execution plans.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, developers, contractors, and municipal representatives from concept through occupancy readiness.
• Monitor progress against scope, budget, schedule, quality, and safety requirements; escalate risks and issues.
• Liaise with municipalities on zoning, servicing, permitting, and approvals.
• Coordinate land, servicing, and development activities with internal leaders and external partners.
• Assist in RFP packages, tender evaluations, contract awards, and contractor onboarding.
• Prepare governance documentation: AFE materials, stage-gate deliverables, and meeting minutes.
