Job summary

The Tla’amin Nation is seeking a Housing Administrative Assistant to provide essential administrative and coordination support to the Director of Housing and the Housing team on the upper Sunshine Coast.

Responsibilities include scheduling, correspondence, budget and records management, meeting coordination and travel logistics, with attention to confidentiality and sound judgment in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 education with post‑secondary certificate and/or coursework in office administration or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of relevant administrative experience supporting projects or senior staff.
  • Equivalent combo of education, training and experience will be considered.
  • Experience in housing, Indigenous government, nonprofit administration or related environment is an asset.
  • Acceptable Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Check prior to employment.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence and acceptable Driving Record.

Responsibilities

  • Provides day‑to‑day administrative support to the Director of Housing, including scheduling, correspondence, document preparation and meeting coordination.
  • Coordinates departmental priorities, commitments and deadlines, tracking outstanding actions and follow-ups.
  • Attends meetings and records notes, decisions and actions; prepares agendas and briefing materials.
  • Coordinates travel, accommodations, registrations and other logistics.
  • Maintains organized project files, documentation and records; supports reporting and decision making.
  • Processes and tracks purchase orders, invoices, expense reimbursements, and other financial documentation.
  • Supports with organization of community engagements, planning sessions and housing activities.
